Environment is important. Learning and creativity are fostered in the right setting. Peaceful, private, and lined with instruments; my in-home music studio inspires the music to flow! I live on a residential street with ample, free, parking, in the Rainier Valley neighborhood of South Seattle. The studio is right through the front french doors, (so no awkward shuffles through someone else's living space). However, if you're in the mood for coffee, tea, or a snack - please let me know!
If you don't have a guitar yet, you can use one of mine during lessons. I sometimes turn to other instruments in my studio as a way to demonstrate something about the guitar or music theory. You're welcome to try them out. Other than various types and sizes of guitars (and amps), the studio also houses a violin, lap harp, ukelele, and mandolin. Singing voices also bounce within the walls here, however, you will have to bring your own. I also have stacks of sheet music, instructional books, and song books to dive into. Whether you're interested in recording for fun, to help with learning, or seriously laying something down, I have a hand-held, instant, recorder (for less serious tracks), but also a Tascam 4-Track Studio Recorder with microphone for better sound quality.
There's lots of fun to be had here. I invite you in to start your musical journey.
